Cool Tools Tuesday

I decided to add a new feature to my blog. On Tuesdays, I will introduce a product to you that I think is useful and cool. Ideas? Please e-mail them to info@LilacLanePatterns.com. Well this is an old, old product, but it’s new to me and I have a feeling it might be to you as well. Meet the Tailor’s Ham and the Seam Roll. They sound funny, don’t they? But the ham is called a ham because it looks like one. And both of them help you to press curved seams. If you’ve ever made a garment, you’ve probably had to deal with this. And we all know that the better pressed your garment is, the better it looks. The seam roll is great for pressing long seams and getting into hard to reach places. Especially on finished items like pants legs. Think about how useful it is for repressing the crease in pants legs. The ham helps with darts, sleeve caps and any curved area.

Thought you’d like to know!

Who has gone up to heaven and come down?
Whose hands have gathered up the wind?
Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is the name of his son?
Surely you know!

Proverbs 30:4
